There are two different flute choirs in which you can participate,
based upon age and experience: Shooting Stars Flute Choir
(Intermediate), and North Star Flute Choir (Advanced). Sometimes
we combine choirs for bigger performances! Flute Choir students
must demonstrate a certain level of playing and maturity in order to
participate in the North Star Flute Choir.

Community and Performance
All of the flute ensembles perform many
times a year at various events in the
Columbus area.
Columbus is a great place to live for a
flutist; there are many Flute Festivals at
the local Colleges that provide many
opportunities to share our talent. In
addition, we also enjoy attending local
performances of the CSO, Columbus
Bach Ensemble, and ProMusica together.
Although most students are from
different schools from throughout the
area, we do have a very strong sense of
community! Several times a year,
students get to observe each other in a
masterclass with a guest artist.
